Not much has been going on around here this past week, which frankly is fine by us. This morning Sadie wanted to sit with Lev in their rocking chair.
She then wanted to read to him - it was very cute. (Scout's honor, these were not staged. In fact whenever Sadie noticed me holding the phone she would yell "no pictures.")
We also went to the playground and Sadie checked out Brookline's newest art installation.
This post is a couple of days late but, I guess that's better than never. He is a happy, chubby, calm baby. He loves to smile at his sister and they seem to have a real bond now (she's been able to calm him down a couple of times when Mom and Dad hadn't been able to). He's still waking up multiple times at night, to Mom's great saddness, but he's gotten really good at getting himself to sleep at the begninng of the night. He and Sadie share a room now as of a couple weeks ago and they don't seem to be disturbing each other.

Lev in the bath
This year the kids went as a penguin (Sadie) and a fish (Lev). Sadie was pretty excited about her costume so we let her wear it while we were out and about during the day, including to the playground.

Later that evening we got all dressed up for trick or treating.
And headed out the door.
Brookline does a great thing where they close down some small streets to traffic and let the kids run wild. The houses on those streets get really into it with decorations and many people sit out on their stoops and hand out candy. It is both delightful and pure chaos.
This year we also met up with Alice, Max, Elliot. Sadie had a total blast running all around while the younger crew just stared in pure bewilderment.
It was super fun, and now, all the kiddos are in bed thankfully :-)
We set up the high chair on the baby setting again. Lev can now do a supported sit so he can join us at the table. We think he enjoyed his first shabbat!
As we've mentioned earlier, Mom's maternity leave is coming to end very soon (today, in fact) and so we've been maximizing spending time with family. This past Thursday, Mom brought Lev to Babulya and Deda's house and took lots of pictures.

The time has come for Lev to start going to day care along with Sadie. Here he is, dressed and ready for his new adventures.
We're going to try and have 2 parents on the commute until everyone gets used to the new situation. Until then, the kids seem pretty happy with the current arrangement.
When we got to school, his teachers had already set up his cuby.
We know he's going to have a great time and learn and grow so much, but it's still hard to let go!
On Sunday, Sadie had fun carving the large pumpkin we got with Grandma and Aunt Renee.
The kids also hung out around the house... being cute.
On Monday, Grandma took us all to her job. Sadie tried to take over, but she's still a little too unfocused.
That night, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Renee did one last bedtime with the kids.
The next day, we flew back home bright and early. The way back was a little rougher on the kids, but all's well that ends well. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon for Thanksgiving!
On Saturday, we took Sadie to the amazing playground at Faust Park.
She had lots of fun climbing the biggest structure there over and over again, despite all of Grandma's attempts to distract her with other features at the playground. Here is a video of her doing it for approximately the third time.
We then went to ride the carousel. Sadie spent the rest of the trip telling everyone that she got to ride "the horsies."
Later the same day Mom and Dad got dressed up to go to a wedding.
Sadie took this as an opportunity to fully accessorize herself as well (she was confused as to why she wasn't coming with us).
However, everyone had lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa putting the kids to bed.
