Best Playground in Brookline

I think we've found the best playground in Brookline, and that's saying something because all of the other ones we've been to so far have set a high bar.  However, this morning we ventured on a 20 minute walk (past 3 other playgrounds) at the recommendation of some friends we met through our birth class.  What made this playground special, aside from the extensive equipment for the pint sized crowd, was that the floor was all soft foam instead of wood chips.  All the previous times we've gone to a playground, we've had to hover close by the munchkin to keep her from shoving wood chips in her mouth at a serious clip.  Here, we could let her roam free - and roam she did.  She was all over the place for about 45 minutes.

Let's just say, she wore herself out.  This was her 5 minutes after we left the play ground...

Today was fancy dress day at school. Here is Sadie and dad ready to head out.

Hannah's Birthday Party

Today we went to Hannah's birthday party at a park.  It was lovely and we all had a good time.  Sadie pretty much split her time equally between two things.

First activity: pushing another little kids' wagon in circle after circle.  Here is the video below (I know I held my phone wrong - sorry).

Second activity: We also saw several parents of kids approximately the same age giving their kids apples to chew on, so we thought we'd try it with Sadie.  She thought it was the greatest thing that has ever happened!  She sat happily gnawing on it for about 30 minutes.

She even managed to take small bites and eat some of it!

Sadie is 11 Months!!

It's finally summer here!  As we get closer to Sadie's first birthday, we're having more and more flashbacks to what it was like awaiting her arrival at this time last year.  It's hard to believe it's only been a year frankly.

Sadie is trying to walk, but isn't quite there yet.  She's also started using the wood aquarium she has as an actual shape sorter.  She's starting to drop her morning nap occasionally and spending more time playing in Infant 2 in preparation for her transition next month.

I don't think we've posted nearly enough photos of Sadie with her face (and everything nearby) covered in food. So we're rectifying the situation.
