Inna's Birthday

This past Saturday was Inna's birthday and so we all had dinner at Ed and Ella's on Sunday to celebrate.  Sadie was grumpy all evening but she had lots of people who wanted to hold her :-)

Matti and Mark's wedding

We went to Matti and Mark's wedding last night.  It was a very sweet ceremony at the river followed by a reception at Eastern Standard.

Sadie had a very special dress just for the occasion.  We didn't take a lot of photos - we're hoping to get more from the photographer (who took a bunch of us and Sadie).  But this is what we have.

I think Sadie now officially looks like a "baby" and not a "newborn".  She makes funny faces and looks at things (below she's actually looking up at the mobile in her crib).  She also stretches out her legs and kicks, which makes her look much longer to us.

BBQ and Barchu

We went to TBZ's annual BBQ and barchu (outdoor pot luck bbq followed by Friday night services) yesterday.  It was in Summit park - for those keeping track, that's where we had our outdoor wedding photos taken.  It was 100 degrees and we had to walk up a ridiculous (RIDICULOUS) hill for a mile to get there, but we had fun anyway :-)

 So the plan on Monday was to take Sadie to the Brookline summer concert series and have a picnic, with Alice and Max joining us.  Alas there was a flaw in this plan, namely the fact that the concert series takes place on Wednesday (not Monday)... oops.

We still had a picnic and a nice time though.

At one point in the photo shoot however, she literally pulled the hat over her face and went to sleep.  I guess that was her way of saying her audience with the camera was complete?

Which is all to say, that the bookshelves in Sadie's room are finally up

 

 

Thank you to everyone who gave a book! As you can see, for quite a little girl, she is very rich, literature-wise.
