Quiet weekend

In other news, two more teeth have come in, that makes 6!

Now off to Alice, Max, and little TBD's new place.

Summer

This weekend we took a walk with Sadie.  It felt weird to leave the house so unencumbered for the first time in a year.  Not only did no one need to wear a coat, but we left the stroller and diaper bag at home too.  Needless to say we didn't go very far (just down our street).  But Sadie did enjoy the flowers.

Feeling Better

Sadie's been having some tummy problems for the past 5 days or so.  It's been kind of touch and go.  Yesterday she took two long naps while home with Dad and we debated whether to keep her home again today so she can finish getting better.  This morning, though, she seemed to be back in high spirits so we decided to send her to daycare after all.

Our thoughts on this picture (in no particular order):

1. It's adorable.
2. Sadie is clearly feeling better.
3. It captures a very "Sadie" moment!

That's some fine motor control you have there...

Sadie has been showing some interest in spoons recently so when home with Dad, we took the brave step of letting her have a go of it.

Weekend round up

Who said that having children would be the end of living the high life?   This Thursday night we ventured to Hops and Scotch (a very nice local restaurant).  Here is our toddler, chomping down on fancy mac and cheese while mom and dad enjoy some fine beverages...

Also, we've been practicing walking on the street with Sadie (learning to hold hands, working on distance).

On Saturday, we took a family trip to the Esplanade. Sadie enjoyed walking on the grass, exploring the Hatch Shell, and some fine grilled cheese sandwich served up by the DCR bistro.

Sunday Sadie walked all the way to the park (that's .3 miles to anyone who's keeping track)!!

Trip to Cape Cod

Happy 4th of July, everyone.  This past weekend the whole family went down to Cape Cod to celebrate Independence day, visit Babulya and Deda, and generally relax.

The excitement of the weekend was only slightly marred by the onset of Hurricane Arthur, which thankfully mostly missed the our part of the Cape and just resulted in some heavy rain over the evening/night of the 4th. Sadly, Sadie didn't get to see her first fireworks (way past her bedtime), but she still had lots of fun on the beach and in doors.

Last but not least, we bought Sadie some sandals for the summer while out on the cape.  Here she is, wearing them while back in Brookline already.

Grandma Lora and Aunt Renee's visit

We enjoyed the week long visit from Grandma Lora and Aunt Renee two weeks ago (as pictured in the birthday party post).  Here are some more artifacts from that visit.

Thank you Aunt Renee for taking so many pictures, sadly we don't have any of you and Sadie.  But we do have lots of Sadie (and Sadie with Grandma).

Each of the parks in Brookline has a water feature activated during the summer months. Sadie got her first taste (well, touch) of one this past weekend.
